Awareness

"Two birds are perched friends in the same branch of a tree. 

One of the birds (the individual body-ego-) is eating the fruit of the tree, 

while the other bird simply observes his friend.

Although both birds are essentially the same one (MA-YI) 

is captivated by the fruits of the tree material, 

while the other remains simply as an impartial witness to the 

activities of his friend. "

Awareness is the bird Witness and the ego is the

 bird that captivated, eat fruit from the tree of relativity.
